Did the idea of posing in front of people in gold hot pants and a sports bra scare me?
Did the thought of not looking photo-shoot ready or not having the perfect abs give me anxiety?
Did I worry about embarrassing myself or coming across as lacking confidence?

Yes yes & yes, so why did I sign up for a shoot? Because I’ve overcome barriers and enough of my own personal battles in the past few years to realise that if you put your mind to something and work hard enough, you can achieve anything you want.
And questions like that are anxieties, worries and stresses that hold us all back every day from achieving our full potential.

I’ve spent the last few years exploring the benefits of exercise and nutrition for health, happiness and wellbeing from doing my Masters in Exercise & Nutrition Science, then working in public health as a lifestyle advisor and then in a gym alongside some extremely knowledgeable & experienced coaches. I just want to learn as much as I can each day and share my experiences and ideas along the way.

The most important thing is how we can take ownership of our lives and improve our own body and mind through making simple but sustainable lifestyle choices.

I’ve completed research into the barriers to a healthier and physically active lifestyle and found that beyond the initial excuses of lack of time or money, the deeper underlying barrier is often the lack of drive to WANT it badly enough.

That’s why I believe that providing knowledge, motivation and support to people on how to take steps to build healthier habits is key to meeting your goals. Work out what you really want and make a solid plan to achieve it, by finding a routine that you can maintain and enjoy along the way.

I’m now based at Pure Gym in Altrincham as a Personal Trainer and am fortunate enough to get the opportunity every day to work with my fantastic clients to help them in their own personal journeys to achieve their goals, build their self-confidence and become happier, stronger versions of themselves! 😊
